The activist collected a list of employees of NtechLab, which sells software for digital surveillance of people to Russia.

Internet activist Artem Zinatullin organized a collection of accounts of NtechLab employees on the social network Linkedin and posted a table with them on his website. NtechLab is an IT company that develops products for recognizing faces, silhouettes and images of people, which are subsequently used by authorities to search for suspects. In particular, the company's developments were used in the “sanitary business”.

On the evening of June 2, Zinatullin tweeted that he had saved a PDF list of all Linkedin users whose place of work indicated NtechLab . After that, he promised to pay $50 in Bitcoin to a user who would make a table with the names, photos and links to social networks of company employees. Users who appreciated his idea added more bitcoins, resulting in an amount equivalent to $150, and another user added the same amount, asking that it be transferred by the task executor to any human rights organization of his choice.

Zinatullin published the resulting table on his website. The table contained 106 names, from developers to the CEO of the company. Zinatullin explained why he considers the presence of such a table important: “I don’t like Cancel Culture , the crowd attacks people with or without reason, and it’s hard to stop it. Here the reason is direct cooperation with the security forces, who are unconstitutionally arresting my friends and like-minded people, fellow citizens. You can remain silent and pass by, or you can not remain silent, and as long as I can, I will not remain silent. If we scold the EU for buying oil and gas from the Russian Federation, then we should also scold those who are involved in building an autocracy that grinds down the lives of its citizens and neighbors.”

Russian authorities regularly enter into contracts with NtechLab . In particular, the day before, Kommersant wrote that the authorities of the Moscow region and two other unnamed regions are introducing a video analytics platform with the ability to impersonally recognize silhouettes, to which operational services employees will have access.
