The Ministry of Justice added six people to the register of media outlets as “foreign agents” and one more to the list of individuals as “foreign agents” . This was reported on the website of the department.
The new media-“foreign agents” are:
- Radio Liberty journalist Mikhail Sokolov;
— journalist Alexey Pivovarov;
- artist and LGBTQ activist Yulia Tsvetkova;
- journalist Oleg Kashin;
- political scientist Nikolai Petrov;
- Crimean journalist and activist Irina Danilovich.
Entrepreneur Yevgeny Chichvarkin was included in the list of individuals - "foreign agents".
- since October 2019 Yulia Tsvetkova has been a defendant in a criminal case . She is charged with an article on the distribution of pornography on the Internet (point "b" of part 3 of article 242 of the Criminal Code) due to the publication of drawings and pictures in the public "Vagina Monologues" on VKontakte.
- Irina Danilovich is being pursued in connection with the acquisition and possession of explosives. Since May 7, 2022, she has been in a pre-trial detention center.
