The Russian Foreign Ministry announced personal sanctions against 61 US citizens - former and current top managers of large companies and officials. This was done "in response to the ever-expanding US sanctions against Russian political and public figures, as well as representatives of domestic business."

Sanctions included Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm, White House Communications Director Kate Bedingfield and one of the leaders of Netflix, Reed Hastings.

Top managers of OneWeb, Delta Airlines, Universal Pictures, CBS, Moodyʼs, Nasdaq were also on the list.
