The court recognized as prohibited information the 60.RU material with a list of Russian military personnel killed in Ukraine

In the Kaliningrad region, the Svetlogorsk city court declared the list of Russian soldiers who died in Ukraine, published by the Pskov edition 60.RU, as prohibited for dissemination. It is reported by 74.RU.

The Pskov edition 60.RU collected information about the dead from open sources, but the court decided that such information “belongs to state secrets, the disclosure of which may result in criminal liability.” The list of the dead has been removed from the site.

Due to the court decision, similar texts with lists of the dead were removed from their websites by other publications that are part of the Network of City Portals media group.

• On February 24, Roskomnadzor demanded that the media write about the war in Ukraine only with reference to official Russian sources. Also, journalists were forbidden to call the “Russian special operation” an attack, an invasion, or a declaration of war. Otherwise, the supervisory agency threatened with blocking and fines of up to five million rubles.
