An explosion occurred in Melitopol

In the Ukrainian Melitopol, which is under the control of the Russian military, on June 12 there was an explosion.

According to local media Ria-Melitopol, which opposes the Russian occupation, the explosion occurred around 17:45 near the monument to the T-70 tank on Heroiv Ukrainy Street. The publication writes that the area of ​​​​the incident is cordoned off and the Russian security forces are checking cars and searching “suspicious” people.

Ria-Melitopol published a photo from the bloodied pavement, but it is not specified whether it was taken at the site of the explosion.

Representatives of the Russian-appointed “new authorities” of Melitopol and the Zaporozhye region said that the explosion occurred near the building of the “city department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs” (apparently, it is not located in the same place where the Ukrainian police department was located ), and blamed “Ukrainian saboteurs” for this.

According to them, a man and a woman were injured in the explosion. The bomb was allegedly planted in a garbage can.
