The court again extended the arrest of Rosderzhava journalists

The Lyubertsy City Court extended the detention period for Rosderzhava journalists Alexander Dorogov and Yan Katelevsky. Anton Maslov, a listener of the meeting, told about this to OVD-Info.

The defendants will remain in jail for at least another six months.

Rossderzhava journalists Yan Katelevsky and Alexander Dorogov are accused of extortion (clause “b” part 3 of article 163 of the Criminal Code) and insulting an official (article 319 of the Criminal Code) - the investigation believes that they extorted 1.3 million rubles from an employee DPS for refusing to publish materials about him. Katelevsky is also accused in the case of damage to property out of hooligan motives (part 2 of article 167 of the Criminal Code).

• Journalists consider the criminal cases against them ordered and fabricated. They believe that the persecution started because of their professional activities and investigations.
