Korean fined for post with negative assessment of Korean Ambassador

A court in Moscow fined the owner of a strip club, a showman and a fighter for the peaceful unification of Korea, Lucky Lee, under the article on inciting hatred (Art. 20.3.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). This was reported by the Information and Analytical Center "Sova".

On June 8, the Tagansky District Court brought Lucky Lee to justice for his post on VKontakte. According to a certificate from an expert from the Ministry of Internal Affairs , which was presented in court, he negatively assessed the South Korean ambassador to Russia, Lee Sok-bae. Lucky Lee demands that South Korean diplomats seriously consider and convey to the government his proposals for the peaceful unification of Korea. He also called the ambassador a hypocrite.

Representatives of Lucky Lee in court argued that he was not aware of his actions due to a mental disorder. The court was provided with a medical certificate confirming the course of psychosocial rehabilitation. The court did not accept the certificate and found Li guilty.
