Amnesty International recognized the artist Sasha Skochilenko as a prisoner of conscience

The human rights organization Amnesty International recognized the St. Petersburg artist Sasha Skochilenko as a prisoner of conscience. Skochilenko is accused under a criminal article on the creation of "fakes" about the Russian army.

"Amnesty International considers to be Alexander Skochilenko a prisoner of conscience and requires her immediate and unconditional release. Her criminal prosecution must be terminated, and the repressive article 207.3 of the Criminal Code has been canceled," the organization said.

• The artist, musician and activist Sasha Skochilenko is accused of stinging stickers with information about events in Ukraine in the store. A criminal case on discrediting the Russian armed forces based on political hatred was opened on her. She faces up to 10 years in prison. Skochilenko was arrested, and then sent to a psychiatric examination.
