We are talking about the termination unilaterally, which means large fines for an international company - in the case of early termination due to the fault of the tenant, the latter leaves the deposit and compensates to partners from three to six months of the rent. IKEA has 26 stores and studios in 12 cities of Russia.
In mid -June, IKEA announced that it reduces the scale of business and sells its factories in Russia. The new owners go for enterprises in the Leningrad, Kirov and Novgorod regions. The company explained this by the fact that because of the war in Ukraine, the situation with business processes and supply chains worsened. At the same time, Mega shopping centers belonging to IKEA will continue to work in Russia, but they will not have company branded stores.
