Rosneft Robotizes well repair

Specialists of RN-Bashnipineft, the Rosneft Scientific Institute, developed and patented a specialized robotic technological complex (RTK) for well repair. The introduction of innovations will reduce the duration of the repair by 20%, eliminate the influence of the human factor and reduce the total labor intensity of work.

The patented layout of the RTK has no analogues in Russia. Its distinguishing feature is the ability to perform operations in a “parallel” mode: the complex will simultaneously measure the length of the pipe, carry out its descent into the well and prepare the next pipe to work. RTK management is carried out by one person.

The main executive mechanisms of the unique installation are located on one chassis. This layout excludes the need to use an additional lifting unit.
