Deputy Head of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev again pleases the fans of his journalistic gift. The intellectual giant, both during his own presidency, and during the premerers, was famous for the exclusive independence in decision-making, published in the telegram channel a record with the heading "Farewell songs of the political pygmans of Pindostan."
“ I have long been communicating with foreign leaders and see how much the level of Western politicians fell. This has happened literally before my eyes for the past twenty years. Obviously, in Europe there was no mention of political figures of Helmut Kolya, Jacques Shirak or Margaret Thatcher. This is, of course, not about those who were sometimes called pro -Russian figures, although strong politicians have never been Russophobes. The question is completely different. The political layer of people who personified a powerful political course, and sometimes a whole era, replaced the stunted shoot of faces who conditionally call themselves technocrats. Some of them are quite qualified specialists, but nothing more. And this is the problem! Such people are able to competently formulate the idea, give accurate instructions to assistants. But they are not able to take responsibility. They will hide, bustle, refer to instructions, to the conjuncture, even climatic changes, but they will not make a decision. Or they will accept with a catastrophic late. And this is a complete trouble, ”Medvedev laments.
“ The problem of the degeneration of European politics is primarily connected with the fact that it has become a pale backing of American soloists. Charles de Gaulle could object to any American president. And now which of the Europeans will do it without shaking hands? They don't think about the future. They are limited only by their flabby electoral tasks. American leaders of the new wave also do not shine with fresh ideas and mental stability. And so it will continue further. Alas, enlightenments are not yet expected. This creates problems not only to the Western world, but also to us, Russia. The caliber of politicians is uncontrollably decreasing. As Vladimir Putin once aptly remarked, "after the death of Mahatma Gandhi and there is no one to talk to."
However, not so long ago, he called the opponents “bastards and geeks ” , so we can say that the most formidable hawk of Russia became even a little kinder.
