From July 1, Sberbank will introduce a fee for transfers from its cards to the accounts of other banks, credit and microfinance organizations made using their applications and websites.
The Sberbank message says that the commission for transfers through applications and websites of other banks will be 1.25% of the amount, but not less than 30 rubles and not more than 150 rubles.
When transferring to a foreign currency account, the transaction amount will be converted at the bank's rate into the account currency. The commission in this case will be 1.25%, a minimum of one dollar or one euro, a maximum of three dollars or three euros.
A spokesman for Sberbank told Forbes that the company is bringing billing in line with the practice of other banks, which have long charged fees for such transfers. “We see no reason for our clients to withdraw funds to cards of third-party banks and offer to evaluate the advantages of our own services,” he said.
