The court found the Perm nationalist movement “Sturm” extremist

The Leninsky District Court of Perm recognized the Shturm nationalist movement as an extremist organization, a member of which is a defendant in the Putin doll case. This was reported by Idel.Realii with reference to the regional prosecutor's office.

The organization included 15 people who, according to the prosecutor's office, carried out extremist activities that harmed public security and the state.

In October 2021, the FSB and OMON conducted mass searches at the homes of Sturm participants. Investigative actions took place in the homes of approximately 30 young people. Some of them ended up in a pre-trial detention center in connection with a terrorist act (Article 205 of the Criminal Code) — the searches are related to a criminal case initiated on the fact of a shooting at the Perm State National Research University (PGNIU) in September 2021. On that day, Timur Bekmansurov came to the university with a gun and killed 6 people, another 40 were injured.

He and another person were found guilty of hooliganism committed by a group of persons (part 2 of article 213 of the Criminal Code). They were accused of participating in the action, in which a mannequin with a photograph of Vladimir Putin was tied to a pole. The mannequin was wearing a prison uniform and the inscriptions "Liar" and "War criminal Pynya V.V."
