United Russia nominated to the governors of the Tomsk region of the acting head of the region Vladimir Mazur, the party’s re -reference reported. Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed a 55-year-old deputy head of the Presidential Directorate for domestic policy of Mazur, Acting Tomsk Governor on May 10. The former Governor-Uninocorus Sergey Zhvachkin filed a resignation.

Vladimir Mazur previously worked in the Tyumen region and had already managed to confuse the Tomsk regions with her twice in which he was born. In 2011, he was appointed vice-governor of the Tyumen region on investment policy, ecology and subsoil use. And already in 2012 he was made by the head of the Tobolsk administration (without direct elections). He later went to work in the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation.

The Communist Party at its conference unanimously nominated the vice speaker of the City Council of Tomsk Andrei Petrov.

Andrei Petrov was born on February 20, 1984. He graduated from the Tomsk State Architectural and Civil Engineering University, as well as the Institute of Independent Expertise and Studies with the same university. He taught and headed the department at the university. The first time Petrov got into the City Duma in 2015. The second is in 2020, when the United Russia lost the election, not receiving the majority. Many communists went to the Duma with the support of a “smart vote”, they were independent deputies.

After the nomination and submission of documents, candidates must collect signatures of municipal deputies for the “filter” during registration.
