The US imposed sanctions against "Putin's war machine" and Tina Kandelaki. And also banned gold imports from Russia

The US Treasury Department has imposed new sanctions on Russia. The restrictions have been extended to 57 individuals associated with the Russian Federation, as well as more than 100 companies.

The United States has banned the import of Russian gold, the Finance Ministry said in a statement. The ban does not apply to gold that was outside Russia at the time the sanctions were imposed on June 28.

The new sanctions are aimed at "Putin's war machine," the US Treasury Department said. According to the department, the sanctions list includes companies "of crucial importance to the Russian Federation's defense industrial base," including the state corporation Rostec. The Treasury Department has established that transactions with Rostec must be completed by August 11.

The sanctions also included Kamaz, the United Aircraft Corporation, the Ilyushin Aviation Complex, and Tupolev. Several organizations, such as the Chkalov State Flight Test Center of the Ministry of Defense (the main institution of the Russian Air Force) or the Union of Donbass Volunteers ( UDV ), were included in the sanctions list as participants in Russia's war against Ukraine.

Among the people who were sanctioned was TV presenter Tina Kandelaki. She was probably included in the list together with her husband, Rostec top manager Vasily Brovko. The list includes several other people who the US authorities associate with Brovko. Also sanctioned was former Russian Defense Minister in 2007-2012 Anatoly Serdyukov.
