The suspect in the “palace case” had his detention in pre-trial detention center extended

The Presnensky District Court of Moscow extended the term of detention in a pre-trial detention center for three months for the suspect in the “palace case” Andrei Klimashev. A friend of his reported this.

On March 30, the Investigative Committee conducted a search in Klimashev’s apartment and questioned him as a witness in the case of the use of violence against a police officer (Article 318 of the Criminal Code) during the January 2021 protests. The man was given a non-disclosure agreement. In April he was placed in a pre-trial detention center.
