What happens to the winter garden LDM, which threatens destruction?

Between the Etalon group of companies and the Green Petersburg Foundation, a meeting was held on the preservation of the Winter Garden of the Leningrad Youth Palace (LDM) on Pesopochny embankment. They plan to demolish the latter for the construction of a premium residential complex. "Paper" tells at what stage there are negotiations between plant defenders and the developer.

According to the fund coordinator, according to the results of the meeting, the parties came to the understanding that a new place for the winter garden needs to be found before this summer. So far, the gardener continues to take care of him.

Now there are at least two options where small plants could be determined. The difficulty lies in the fact that a partner who will pick up large trees has not yet been found, the fund coordinator adds.

- Of course, the developer is easiest to transport all plants at a time and as quickly as possible ... But the entire winter garden, unfortunately, cannot be transported, because there are no alternative spaces where plants in such quantities could grow in open ground. And transplanting them into containers, we risk because they may not take root. Therefore, I do not think that now there is a suitable option to transport everything. <...> Now we communicate with two partners who can pick up small plants. Earlier, the Etalon Group of Companies was informed “Paper” that “the pool of interested plants for plant transmission is being prepared”. “We will definitely return with detailed information a little later,” the press service of the group of companies promised.
