The Main Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee for the North Caucasus Federal District reported on the completion of the investigation of the case against residents of Kislovodsk Murat Apsov, Amil Gaziev, Komil Kholbaev, Imanali Khadzhiev, Alexander Bazhenov, Dmitry Ledenev, Issa Bogatyrev and Abumuslim Fatullayev, accused of involvement in At-Takfir wal Hijra". This is reported by the website of the department.
They are charged with an article on participation in a religious extremist organization (part 2 of article 282.2 of the Criminal Code).
According to investigators, the defendants took part “in the activities of a religious association aimed at establishing the world domination of a radical form of Islam and creating a single Islamic state in the Russian Federation”, and also “took part in the meetings of the participants of this association, which were held regularly from mid-2017 to March 2021 year, where the activities of the association, the need to increase its followers, ideological literature and the works of preachers were discussed.
The materials of the case will soon be sent to the court for consideration on the merits.
