The website of the German newspaper Die Welt has been blocked in Russia

Roskomnadzor, at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, restricted access to the website of the German newspaper Die Welt , according to data from the blocking verification service .

The Prosecutor General's Office made the corresponding decision on July 9. The first to draw attention to this was the organization "Roskomsvoboda", according to its information, the publication's website was blocked with all domains and subdomains.

The state news agency TASS writes that access to the website www.welt.de was restricted “in accordance with the regulations for blocking websites containing calls for mass riots, extremism, and participation in illegal mass actions.”

• After the war in Ukraine began, military censorship was introduced in Russia. The websites of many Russian media outlets, including Meduza, as well as foreign media outlets, services and social networks were blocked. One of the last to be blocked, in June, was the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph.
