Arkhangelsk "Council of Citizens of the RSFSR USSR" was recognized as an extremist organization

The Arkhangelsk Regional Court recognized the People's Council of Citizens of the RSFSR USSR of the Arkhangelsk Region as an extremist organization, its activities were banned in Russia. About this writes the publication 29.ru.

The organization’s activities are aimed at “violently changing the foundations of the constitutional order and violating the integrity of the Russian Federation, undermining the security of the state, creating armed groups, inciting social, national and religious hatred and disseminating extremist materials for this purpose,” the court’s decision says.

The organization included about 47 members, 12 of them were brought to administrative responsibility “for extremist offenses and violations against public order,” the regional FSB noted.

• "Citizens of the USSR" is a movement uniting fighters for the restoration of the rights of citizens of the USSR. The followers of the organization believe that the Union continues to exist, and the Russian Federation is a "trading company". Some of the Citizens of the USSR participants renounce any ties with Russia as a state, for example, do not sign any documents, notify local authorities of the need to vacate their posts. In 2019, the Supreme Court of Komi recognized the Union of Slavic Forces of Rus', the USSR, as an extremist organization.
