Journalist Murad Muradov, who was nearby, was detained along with Magomedov. They are taken to the district police department. The reason for the detention was the visit of the Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko to Dagestan, Chernovik notes.

The police told Magomedov that they had received information about his intention to throw himself under the wheels of the motorcade of the head of Dagestan “in order to attract attention.” They asked him for an explanation.
- Journalist of the Dagestan newspaper “Chernovik” Abdulmumin Gadzhiev is accused of financing terrorism (Part 4 of Article 205.1 of the Criminal Code) and participation in the activities of an extremist organization (Part 2 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code). The investigation believes that he published information in the newspaper about a fund that finances terrorists, and also participated in the activities of the banned organizations “Congress of the Peoples of Ichkeria and Dagestan” and “The Supreme Military Majlisul Shura of the United Mujahideen Forces of the Caucasus.” Gadzhiev has been in custody since July 2019.
