Vladimir Putin will travel to Tehran on July 19 for talks with his Iranian and Turkish counterparts Ebrahim Raisi and Recep Tayyip Erdogan. For the Russian president, this will be the second foreign trip since the beginning of the “special operation”.

The visit was announced at a briefing by Putin's press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, earlier this was reported by the Iranian official news agency, citing the chairman of the economic commission of the parliament.

“Indeed, the president’s trip to Tehran is being prepared,” Peskov confirmed. “There will be a meeting of the heads of state - guarantors of the Astana process, as you know, the process to promote the Syrian settlement.”

The visit is scheduled for July 19. As the Kremlin spokesman clarified, in addition to the trilateral meeting, bilateral meetings will take place: “Yesterday we reported on the upcoming high-level contacts between Putin and Erdogan, this meeting will also take place there.”

Erdogan in recent months, after the suspension of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, has focused on solving the problem of exporting grain from blocked ports on the Black Sea. On the eve of Putin and Erdogan held telephone conversations, in which the Turkish leader stressed that "the time has come to take action on the UN plan" to create safe corridors for grain exports.
The White House previously announced Iran's plans to transfer the drones to Russia, as well as train Russian troops to use them as early as this month.
