At negotiations in Istanbul, Russia presented a package of proposals to resume the export of Ukrainian grain. What it says is still unknown

The Russian delegation at the talks in Istanbul submitted for consideration a package of proposals for "the soonest practical solution" to the issue of resuming grain exports from Ukraine, said Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov. He did not elaborate on what the proposals of the Russian side say.

Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmitry Kuleba , said that the countries are "two steps away" from reaching an agreement on the export of Ukrainian grain and further resolution of this issue depends only on Russia's desire. The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry also did not disclose any parameters of a possible agreement.

• On July 13, Istanbul hosted the first face-to-face meeting of delegations from Russia and Ukraine since the end of March. Representatives of Turkey and the UN also took part in the talks. It was assumed that within the framework of the quadripartite meeting, the participants in the process were to agree on the conditions for the safe export of Ukrainian grain.
• At the same time, the Russian authorities deny the very fact of blocking Ukrainian grain. Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that “there is no problem with the export of grain from Ukraine,” and Petr Ilyichev, director of the Department of International Organizations of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said that the Russian side has repeatedly confirmed at all levels that it is ready to “facilitate the navigation of foreign commercial ships for export Ukrainian grain. The diplomat also added that "the Russian military daily announces humanitarian corridors specially established for this purpose from the Black and Azov Seas."
