The DPRK recognized the independence of "DPR" and "LPR"

North Korea officially recognized the independence of the so -called Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics. This was stated by the head of the "DPR" of the Republic Denis Pushilin, reports TASS.

"Bilateral partnership will increase the geography of trade for enterprises of our states. I am sure that we will find active and fruitful cooperation," Pushilin said.

The DPRK Ambassador to Russia Syn Hon Chol handed Olga Makeeva’s DPR to recognize independence. The DPR Foreign Minister Natalya Nikonorova previously reported that she had met with the Sin ambassador in Moscow for negotiations several times.

The DPRK is the third country after Russia and Syria, which recognized the independence of the self -proclaimed republics. Syria did it at the end of June. According to Nikonorova, the self -proclaimed authorities of the Republic are now negotiating the establishment of diplomatic relations with Damascus.

"We are very actively moving in relations with the Syrian Arab Republic. Literally in the near future, we hope that we will establish diplomatic relations. The process is going on," she said.

The independence of the "DPR" and "LPR" was also recognized by partially recognized states of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
