The Ministry of Justice included in the register of media “foreign agents” an LLC created by journalist Alexey Pivovarov

The Ministry of Justice has included the limited liability company Helicopter and Co, created by journalist Alexei Pivovarov, on the list of media outlets as “foreign agents”. Information about this is published on the website of the department.

Aleksey Pivovarov was included in the register of “foreign agents” media in early June. Together with him, journalists Mikhail Sokolov and Oleg Kashin, political scientist Nikolai Petrov, Crimean activist Irina Danilovich and artist Yulia Tsvetkova joined the list. Yevgeny Chichvarkin was recognized as an individual "foreign agent" that day.

• At the end of December 2020, the State Duma adopted changes to the legislation on "foreign agents". According to the new clarifications, the status of a "foreign agent" can be obtained by an individual engaged in political activities and receiving money from abroad for this. Another draft law prohibits the dissemination of information from “foreign agents” in the media without a special mark. The tightening of legislation continued in February 2021 and June 2022 .
