The Solntsevsky District Court of Moscow sentenced former Yeralash director Ilya Belostotsky to 14 years in a maximum security penal colony for sexual abuse of a minor. This was reported by the Moscow prosecutor's office.
As Kommersant notes , the court hearing was held behind closed doors; it is unknown whether the convicted man admitted guilt.
Belostotsky was arrested in October 2020 on charges of sexual intercourse with a minor. During the investigation, the director was charged under the article on indecent acts against a teenager.
As a result, the court found Belostotsky guilty under paragraph “b” of Part 4 of Article 132 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (other acts of a sexual nature committed against a person under the age of fourteen).
According to the prosecutor's office, in November 2018, the director committed sexual acts against a boy he knew in his Moscow apartment.
