The court in Moscow extended the preventive measure to the author of the Channel "Protest Moscow State University" Dmitry Ivanov

The Presnensky District Court of Moscow extended the measure of restraint to the author of the Channel "Protest Moscow State University" Dmitry Ivanov until September 2. This was reported by his lawyer from the OVD-Info Maria Aismont.

Ivanov is accused under the article on the spread of “fakes” about the army of the Russian Federation based on political hatred (paragraph “d” of part 2 of article 207.3 of the Criminal Code). Since June 3, it is contained in jail.

The basis for criminal prosecution was the publications in the Tilagram channel “Protest MSU” on the attacks of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant and the city of Ukraine, on Russian aviation loss, Russian war crimes in Buch and Irpen and that the Russian army was conducting a real war, and not a “special operation”.

On October 12, the Moscow City Court was defended by the appeal about the extension of the guard. This was reported by a lawyer from the ATS-info of Maria Aismont.

The maximum punishment under the article is 15 years in prison.
