Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called the missile strikes on the port of Odessa evidence that Russia is not keeping its promises.
“This indicates only one thing: no matter what Russia says and promises, it will find ways how not to fulfill it. Geopolitically, with weapons, bloody or not, but she has several vectors, as she always acts, ”he said at a meeting with a US congressional delegation.
- Ukraine has accused Russia of firing Kalibr missiles at the port of Odessa on July 23. Representatives of the Ukrainian air force said that the strike was carried out at a place where grain was stored, which was supposed to be exported, but later it became known that the granary was not damaged.
- The blow came the day after the signing in Istanbul of agreements providing for the unhindered export of grain from the ports of Odessa, Chernomorsk and Yuzhny. The parties have committed themselves not to strike at ships and port infrastructure.
- Russia has not officially commented on the attacks on the port of Odessa.
