The head of the Courier trade union, Kirill Ukraintsev, had his detention period extended until September 25, writes SOTA. The decision was made by the Savelovsky Court of Moscow on July 22.
Listeners and the press were not allowed into the hearing because it began after the formal end of the working day in court.
On April 25, security forces came to search Ukraintsev’s apartment. That day, about thirty protesters came to the Delivery Club office, protesting against lowering wages for orders. More than ten people were detained .
The next day, Ukraintsev was charged under the “Dada” article of repeated violation of the rules for holding rallies (Article 212.1 of the Criminal Code). He is charged, first of all, with publishing on the Internet calls for courier and taxi workers to go to protests against violations of their labor rights. On April 27, the Savelovsky courtsent Ukraintsev to a pre-trial detention center.
