Artist Danila Tkachenko was arrested in absentia due to a failed protest on May 9

The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow arrested the artist Danila Tkachenko in absentia for two months due to a failed event dedicated to Victory Day. Lawyer Yulia Kuznetsova, who collaborates with OVD-Info, spoke about this.

Tkachenko planned to release yellow and blue smoke during the Victory Parade in the center of Moscow using smoke bombs installed in air conditioners, but the action was stopped by FSB officers. On May 9, it became known that there was a criminal case against him under the article of attempted hooliganism committed by a group of persons (Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code with the application of Article 30 of the Criminal Code). The artist left Russia on the eve of the holiday.

On May 10, the police detained another artist, Grigory Mumrikov. The court sentenced him to 10 days of arrest, finding him guilty of petty hooliganism (Article 20.1 of the Administrative Code). After serving his sentence, the artist was interrogated and made a suspect in a criminal case of hooliganism, in which Tkachenko is also involved. Mumrikov spent 10 days in a temporary detention facility, after which he was placed in a pre-trial detention center and charged.
