Supporters of the “police ombudsman” who exposed the fabrication of the case were detained under the article of false denunciation

In Moscow, three supporters of the creator of the “Police Ombudsman” project, Vladimir Vorontsov, were detained as part of a criminal case - they had previously made a film where they talked about the illegal actions of the investigation in his case. The channel “Police Ombudsman 2” writes about this.

The detainees are former employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Andina, Vasily Fedorov and Evgeny Moiseev. They are suspected of a case of false denunciation combined with the artificial creation of evidence for the prosecution (Part 3 of Article 306 of the Criminal Code), TASS clarifies , citing an unnamed source among the security forces.

Previously, Andina was in the status of a victim in the case against Vorontsov. He was accused of extorting money (Part 1 of Article 163 of the Criminal Code) from a woman under the threat of distributing intimate photos.

In October 2021, the detainees released the film “Saving the Police Ombudsman.” The authors of the video talked about a semi-legal plan to expose the investigation, in which Andina tried to infiltrate the Moscow police’s own security department. Vorontsov’s supporters decided to deliberately add one more episode to his case in order to document falsification on the part of the investigation. Mediazona told more about this story.

Andina and Moiseev reported their plan in Vorontsov’s trial in October 2021. As a result, on July 18, the prosecutor dropped some of the charges against the “police ombudsman,” including the episode with Andina.

After some of the charges were dropped, Vorontsov is still accused of extorting 300 thousand rubles from Rasim Kurbanov ( clause “d”, part 2 of Article 163 of the Criminal Code ) and publishing his nude photo ( clause “a”, “b” of part. 3 art. 242 of the Criminal Code ); in two episodes of publishing pornographic photographs of G. Danshina (clause “b”, part 3, article 242 of the Criminal Code); of insulting an operative of the Internal Security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Sergei Kobelev (Article 319 of the Criminal Code).

• The “Police Ombudsman” project was originally a group on VKontakte - it was created by Vladimir Vorontsov, who at that time worked in the police and Center “E”. Then the pages appeared on other social networks. The project highlights violations of the rights of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and criticizes the work of the ministry. Memorial also draws attention to the fact that some of the revelations published in the channel led to resignations among security officials.
• In May 2020,they came to Vorontsov’s apartment with a search - security forces entered the apartment through a window, descending from the roof on ropes. The next day, the court sent the man to a pre-trial detention center under charges of extortion.

The news added information about the status of the detainees and changed the description of the film they had previously filmed.
