The Ministry of Justice recognized the legal entity created by journalist Alexey Venediktov as a “foreign agent”

The Ministry of Justice entered the legal entity Foreign Agent AAV LLC, created by the former editor-in-chief of Ekho Moskvy, Alexei Venediktov, into the register of media outlets as "foreign agents". This is reported by the telegram channel SOTA.

Venediktov created a legal entity with the right to publishing activities to comply with the legislation on "foreign agents" in early June. At the end of April, the Ministry of Justice added the journalist to the list of foreign media agents because of the salary at the radio station and dividends from the Diletant magazine. After that, Venediktov filed an administrative lawsuit against the Ministry of Justice to recognize the decision as illegal, but at the end of June, the Cheryomushkinsky District Court of Moscow rejected it .
