On July 30, Twitter's user with Nick NEZABAROMM posted a post in which she spoke about the murder of her friend, showed her photographs and called the work of the “serial killer” what happened. She also said that local residents talk about several such victims. By the evening of August 2, the post scored 6,800 retweets and 12,300 likes. Prior to this, the user of Nezabaromm was already trying to draw attention to the incident, but then on Twitter they paid much less attention to this.

Who is the girl who became known from Twitter about

Alina Kalinina studied in the second year of the law faculty of the college of construction, economics and law. Her parents live in the Lugansk region, and the girl herself rented an apartment in the city. As her friend Alexander told the “cold” (she asked not to indicate her last name), Alina rented an apartment in the Zhukov quarter in the east of the city during her studies, and moved to her parents for the summer, so she did not need removable housing at that moment. On July 18, Alina went to the city to meet the mistress the next day and give the keys, but they could not meet. At about 22:30, Alina last time contacted one of her friends and no longer got in touch.

Alina’s body was found on the morning of July 19 at the playground near the house No. 16, they write in the local community. “In the photo from the morgue, her nails, abrasions on her face were broken - that is, she resisted,” says Alexandra. Photos showed her the parents of the deceased. But the investigator, according to Alexandra, said that there were no traces of resistance, but the girl died from alcohol intoxication. As Alexandra says, Alina has not drank recently, so this is excluded. “In addition, she recorded a video message about half of the eleventh, she was absolutely sober and funny,” adds Alexandra. In conclusion, according to Alexandra, it is said that the cause of death is unknown, but she did not provide a photo of the document “cold”.

Where did the rumors about the "maniac" came from

Residents of Lugansk are sure that Alina Kalinina killed a serial maniac. “I don’t know how many more victims were, but the locals say that this is about 9-10; A few more police also said that they died either from drugs or from alcohol, ”says Alexander. The messages about the“ maniac ”began to appear after they discovered Alina’s body, and the topic does not subside in social networks. The telegram channel “Secrets of the Lugansk Republic” (in its description it is indicated: “We share sensational facts. We model the theory of conspiracy. We influence political reality”) on July 27 wrote that 15 women became victims of the maniac. According to the user of Twitter with the nickname Nezabaromm, the locals say that Alina was the eighth. Their common friend Alexander said that from local publics found out that another woman and a teenage girl had died after Alina. They say about the dead that they were allegedly strangled. Alexandra did not see traces of suffocation in the photographs from the morgue, but also suggests that Alina was strangled.

In the same public where Alina's death was discussed, users Denis Dmitriev and Anna Chumachenko said that a month ago another possible murder had occurred. "Cold" managed to contact Chumachenko.

As the husband of the deceased told the Cold, who asked not to name his name, the forensic experts have not yet provided him with a conclusion about Marina’s death, because they have a large queue and they still report for March. He says that in conclusion from the morgue it is said that death was non -violent, and this was confirmed to him by the forensic scientist who examined the body of Logvinova. “The legs were not in different directions, one even, the other slightly bent, the hands were exactly along the body, and she lay face down,” says Logvinova’s husband. He does not know about what could happen to his wife, because at the time of her death they remained in marriage only legally and did not live together. “I am inclined to die in health, I was [in the place of death] that morning, and there were no traces of violence,” he says.

Also, publics disseminate information about a certain girl who survived after the attack, and they say that the criminal was supposedly in military uniform. In what form is not specified. The name of the surviving girl in the posts of publics is not reported, but on the screenshots distributed on the Internet, it is clear that her name is Oksana Lavrishcheva. On June 23, she said that a man attacked her a hundred meters from the police department, he began to strangle her and she lost consciousness from suffocation, but she could not find a link to the post under which these comments were written, “cold” could not be found. Also, apparently, Oksana renamed her page and closed accounts in social networks - we could not contact her. The second girl from the screenshot, who asked the injured questions, blocked the correspondent of the "cold".

How the police reacts a self -proclaimed LPR

The telegram channel “Luhansk Luhanskaya” said that, according to his sources in the police, the Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs [self-proclaimed] LPR gave the command “not to zeal in the search” of the criminal: the ministry is supposed to be transferred to another deployment to avoid the scandal. To the question of the “cold”, what kind of sources, the anonymous administrator of the Lugansk Operative channel replied that seven or eight people and two policemen reported such information - at least they introduced themselves.

What are the questions for this story

The names of the victims are unknown. So far, we know for sure only about the death of Marina Logvinova and the fact that two girls who call themselves Alina Kalinina's friends reported her murder. We do not know the causes of the death of Logvinova and Kalinina. The names and surnames of other victims are reliably unknown to us.
There are not a single photo of the documents regarding the murders, despite the resonance of history: they were not found either in the public domain or the acquaintances of the dead (at least they did not show them to us).
It has not been established whether there is a connection between these deaths. There is no direct evidence that a serial killer was operating in Lugansk - perhaps these are not interconnected events.
It is impossible to calculate how many deaths were. People can talk about the same thing without realizing this. For example, the story of Marina Logvinova, who worked in the pharmacy of the clinic, is most likely reflected in a comment on the “strangled bag from the 10th clinic”. “Under the extension of the Vanil cafe” and “Cafe 333” were also named in the context of this crime, although there are two different locations.
The message that the attacker was in military uniform suggests that some details of history can be a provocation against the backdrop of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
