Head of Gazprom Alexey Miller
Vladimir Putin invited the ancient friend of Gerhard Schroeder to pass through the "Malyava" to the Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Sholtsu.
Through another federal chancellor - the Austrian Karl Nekhammer - Putin at one time transmitted a similar "Malyava" to Vladimir Zelensky. A simple message from three words - "I will destroy you."
The message transmitted through the former chancellor can also be reduced to three words - "I will freeze you." If you do not run the "Northern Stream - 2".
Why is the launch of the gas pipeline so important for Putin, after several years of bickering and delays in a pile of scrap metal? Yes, because in his head many years ago a harmonious plan was formed that has nothing to do with reality: he leads to Gazprom an effective manager of Miller, it provides the construction of “roundabouts” gas pipelines that will allow to refuse the services of the Ukrainian gas transportation system, Ukraine loses transit status and gas in general and surrenders to the mercy of the winner, and if it does not give up, it can be easily conquered without interrupting it without interrupting it. At the same time, gas supplies.
The fact that there is a gas market and Ukraine can generally do without Russian supplies, that Europeans will not indifferently watch how it tortures Ukraine and will abandon the Northern Stream - 2, was not part of his plans at all. But, as you know, if reality does not correspond to the plans of Vladimir Putin, the worse for reality.
Until recently, he was careful, as if not to interrupt gas supplies in the event of a war with Ukraine - which is why he carefully cared about the technological possibilities of supplying the Ukrainian "pipe". But now, when all his plans were covered, he continues to insist on the opening of the Northern Stream 2 and threatens to reduce supplies . He is no longer worried about the profit of Gazprom, nor the collapsed reputation of the reliability of the Russian energy supplier. He is preoccupied with only one thing - to punish those who destroy the excellent reality that he came up with. Punish the Ukrainians who dared to resist his gang of killers and robbers and do not go out with flowers towards rapists. To punish Europeans who dared to help Ukrainians, and even decided that they were able to abandon Russian energy carriers when they themselves wish. Yes, do not happen to this!
When people with criminal consciousness come to power, the whole policy turns into a strategy of punishment. Of course, Putin needs money. But provoking the energy crisis in Europe for him is much more important than pluging holes in his own budget. And in his readiness to chop the bitches on which he himself is sitting, Putin is by no means alone. Experts are increasingly saying that after the Nancy Pelosi visit to Taiwan, the PRC can organize a blockade of the rebellious island, which will create interruptions in the supply of chips to the world market and slow down high -tech production, and so already experiencing interruptions with the necessary components. And yes, this "punishment" of Taiwan and the West will hit Chinese economic interests. But if it is more important to demonstrate that the PRC "just" does not back down, then what's the difference, what will happen to the Chinese economy?
Yes, the clash of democracy and authoritarianism is also a struggle with brutal stupidity. Democracy is always more difficult to resist dictators. Democratic countries make decisions slower, coordinate joint actions for a long time, and they are afraid of victims. But then they live in the real world and think about the consequences of their actions. Authoritarianism loses democracy not at all because good always wins evil. But because stupidity is inevitably inferior to reason.
