A court in Belarus recognized sticker packs with Lukashenko as extremist

The Court of the Central District of Minsk included the sticker packs "Sasha 3%" and "Luka" in the Telegram messenger into the list of extremist materials. The decision was made on July 25th.

Both sets of stickers are dedicated to Alexander Lukashenko. The “Sasha 3%” sticker pack plays on a joke that became popular during the presidential elections in Belarus in 2020: then, several media outlets conducted polls where they offered to choose their favorite candidate, in some of them Lukashenka scored only three percent.

After the presidential elections, the Belarusian courts began to actively ban content and resources, the content of which is contrary to the official policy of the country. For example, the hashtag “#freebelarus”, the logo of the Nexta publication, the Zerkalo.io portal (a new project of the former Tut.by team), and the website of the Belsat TV channel were banned.
