Lars von Trier diagnosed with Parkinson's disease

Director Lars von Trier has been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Variety writes about this, citing a message from the Zentropa studio, co-founded by von Trier.

The director is "in good spirits" and is being treated for his symptoms. He continues work on the third season of his horror series Kingdom, Zentropa said.

The premiere screening of the third season of "Kingdom" will take place at the Venice Film Festival , which will begin at the end of August. Von Trier will attend press events at the premiere, Zentropa said.
