Governor Alexander Beglov in his telegram channel spoke about the project of the new general plan of St. Petersburg. He emphasized the expansion of the city metro.
According to Beglov, a project, designed until 2040 (with a development forecast until 2050), involves the construction of 89 new metro stations and 139 kilometers of new lines in this period. For comparison: now there are 72 stations in the St. Petersburg metro, and the length is 124 kilometers.
According to Fontanka, plans for the construction of 89 new stations were voiced back in 2013-they were counted on opening by 2030. To date, since 2013, five new stations and one additional lobby at Sports have been launched in St. Petersburg.

Suggestions and comments on the project of changes, as well as substantiating materials to proposals (if any), citizens can submit until August 10 inclusive. This can be done in two ways: through the KGA website or using a letter in KGA (191023, St. Petersburg, Square Lomonosov, d. 2).
