The debts of Russians for housing and communal services grew to 804.5 billion rubles

The debts of Russian citizens for housing and communal services (housing and communal services) for a year increased by 7.6 percent and reached 804.5 billion rubles. This is a record indicator, Izvestia write with reference to the data of Rosstat.

Before resource -supplying organizations, debts increased by 11 percent, to management companies - by 3 percent.

According to the expert of the thematic platform of the ONF "Housing and the urban environment" Pavel Sklyanchuk, the cause of the growth of debts this year is a crisis. According to him, the cost of goods and services is changing, while wages are not indexed.

The director of NP "National Housing Congress" Tatyana Vependskaya agreed that the increase in the cost of utilities does not take into account the dynamics of Russians. In such conditions, low -income families often do not have the opportunity to pay for housing and communal services, emphasized the head of the Housing Commission for the Housing and Public Utilities of the Public Council under the Ministry of Construction Irina Bulgakova. She also added that a six -month moratorium on bankruptcy, which was introduced from April 1, had a negative impact. This measure limits the debt debiting procedure.

According to the member of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing and Public Utilities, Alexander Yakubovsky, part of the debt formed is irrevocable money. In case of bankruptcy, they will be written off and restructured, the deputy noted.
