Ukraine received fifty Turkish Kirpi armored vehicles - this is the first batch

The operational group of Ukrainian troops "Kakhovka" received 50 Turkish Kirpi armored personnel carriers. They were distributed between two brigades of marines. In the future, another 150 such machines are expected to be delivered.

Kirpi is an armored personnel carrier manufactured by the Turkish company BMC. Weighing over 19 tons, it can carry a payload of 1,775 kilograms or 13 people, providing a high degree of protection against mines and small arms. The Kirpi is equipped with machine guns with a caliber of 7.62 or 12.7 mm with the possibility of remote control.

Last week, it became known about the decision of Spain to transfer 20 American M113 armored personnel carriers to Ukraine.
