The court in Blagoveshchensk sent local activist and supporter of “Citizens of the USSR” Dmitry Kravtsov to a psychiatric hospital for 30 days - there he will undergo a medical examination. SOTA talks about this with reference to the man’s associates.
reports The court made this decision in the framework of a criminal case regarding the illegal possession of gunpowder.
Previously, Kravtsov had a permit to own a weapon, but the document expired. After this, a local police officer came to the man’s home and confiscated hunting rifles and the keys to the safe in which the weapons were stored. At the same time, the policeman did not take the gunpowder that was lying there with him. Later, because of this gunpowder, the security forces opened a criminal case against Kravtsov.
The activist's associates are confident that he is being persecuted because of his civic position. Previously, Kravtsov opposed the introduction of QR codes in connection with the coronavirus pandemic; the man also heads the “People’s Council of the Amur Region,” associated with the “Citizens of the USSR” movement.
