Petersburg: two more human rights activists emigrated to Lithuania

Human rights activists Ivan Astashin and his wife Anna Kurbatov emigrated from St. Petersburg to Lithuania. Kurbatova informed her Facebook about leaving the country.

In Russia, Astashin was tried in the so -called autonomous combat terrorist organization (ABTO), the activist left for him in a colony for 9 years and 9 months. Astashin was recognized as political prisoner. After leaving the prison, he was appointed 8 years of administrative supervision with an obligation to celebrate the police twice a month and a ban on leaving housing at night.

In February 2022, Astashin was detained at an anti -war action in Moscow. He was fined 10 thousand rubles for violating the rules of participation in a public event. After that, the activist also drew up a protocol under an article on violation of administrative supervision.

In St. Petersburg, Astashin and Kurbatov were supported by political prisoners. In July, Astashin told Sota that there was pressure on the hostess of the apartment from whom he rented a room: law enforcement officers, according to the activist, demanded that the woman stop renting out housing to Astashin.

• In the case of ABTO in 2012, in addition to Astashin, eight more were convicted . According to the investigation, they set fire to the FSB Office in the South-Western District of Moscow: they threw several bottles with the Molotov cocktail into the building, photographed this and posted on social networks a video from the credits "Happy Chekist Day, Bastards!". The court also found all nine guilty of arson of several more buildings and a car, as well as in preparing a terrorist attack at a thermal power plant in Perovo. Not a single person was injured from the arson of ABTO members. Student of the Faculty of Chemistry RCTU named after Mendeleev Ivan Astashin, who at that time was 18 years old, the investigation considered the "leader of the group."
