Yandex will sell the "Zen" and "News" of the company VK

Yandex announced plans to sell its news aggregator and Zen Platform of VK. As the new main village, Yandex will develop ya.ru, it is through it that the Mail and Yandex ID will take place.

Yandex also intends to buy from the VK Service for Delivery Club food and products. It is reported that the company will continue to develop the brand: the application and the site will work as before.

The transaction between the companies reportedly will occur as part of the exchange. Yandex intends to close it before the end of the year, this company will need to agree on a deal with the Federal Antimonopoly Service.

• After the start of the Russian military invasion of Ukraine, Yandex News was criticized forthe lack of information about the war on the main page. The company explained this by the work of algorithms, but the former project manager Lev Gershenzon stated that the matter was not about the algorithms, but in the censorship of the Kremlin. He called on his colleagues not to hide the news about Russian aggression in Ukraine.
• On August 22, Gershenzon launched the new news aggregator The True Story. He described the main task of the service as follows: "show the main events of the day and give brief information and provide links for each event." At the same time, he noted that there may be links to any sources on the page - not only to the media.
