A telegram channel moderator who criticized Kadyrov was killed in Chechnya

The moderator of the 1ADAT telegram channel Salman Tepsurkaev, who criticized the head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov, was killed, Olga Sadovskaya, lawyer of the Team Against Torture, said in an interview with Katerina Gordeeva. After that, a statement was released on the 1ADAT telegram channel giving details of his death.

On September 6, 2020, he was kidnapped by Chechen security forces and taken from Gelendzhik to Chechnya. Tepsurkaev was forcibly forced to sit on a bottle, this was recorded on camera. Then several videos appeared on the network, where he walks around Grozny. In the Krasnodar Territory, a criminal case was opened on his abduction. Tepsurkaev was killed on September 15, 2020 at a military training ground in the village of Dzhalka. Before his death, he was tortured for a week.

“Salman was tied up, put a grenade in his mouth and blew him up from a distance,” 1ADAT reported.

The body was given to relatives. The security forces told them to "bury him like a dog." Tepsurkaev was buried in an unmarked grave.

The Adat movement, which has existed since 2020, is dedicated to human rights violations in Chechnya. The mother of Ibragim Yangulbaev, one of the founders of the movement, Zarema Musaev, was abducted in Nizhny Novgorod in January 2022. A criminal case has been initiated against her on the use of violence against a police officer. She is in a pre-trial detention center in Grozny.
