British Prime Minister Boris Johnson met with President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv on Ukraine's Independence Day on August 24 and promised the Ukrainian military a new £54 million aid package.

The next package of British military assistance to Ukraine involves the supply of 2,000 drones and anti-tank loitering ammunition, including 850 Black Hornet reconnaissance microdrones made in Norway. Johnson assured Zelensky of British support and urged the international community to continue helping Ukraine in its fight against Putin's aggression.

Johnson visited Kyiv for the third time since the beginning of the Russian invasion. He will soon step down as prime minister.
