
SK chairman Alexander Bastrykin personally examined the Saltykova mansion on Bolshaya Morskaya Street. After that, he held a meeting with his subordinates, where he instructed to strengthen the investigative group and accelerate the investigation on the demolition of historical buildings in the center of St. Petersburg, the press service of the UK reports .
Bastrykin also called the investigation unsatisfactory at the initial stage and instructed to organize an official audit against Petersburg investigators engaged in criminal proceedings.
The head of the UK instructed to initiate another criminal case against the office manager of the production and commercial company Mandarin, Nikolai Markov. The investigation accuses him of attacking the city defender Oleg Mukhin, who opposed the demolition of the outbuilding of the Saltykova mansion. Bastrykin demands to achieve the arrest of Markov - the court refused to arrest earlier.
In addition, Bastrykin instructed to organize a meeting with the city defenders of St. Petersburg and discuss with them issues of protecting the cultural heritage of the city. In it, he intends to participate personally.
Work on the demolition of disputed facilities on behalf of the head of the UK must be suspended. Bastrykin promised to inspect all other objects, the illegal demolition of which has been reported recently.
On the eve of August 24, activists of the SOS St. Petersburg movement reported the resumption of the demolition of the Saltykova mansion. In the evening, they told the detentions of the workers participating in the demolition. Fontanka wrote that the detentions took place in the presence of Bastrykin, who left for the SK Building building with the director of the company Anton Plutov - according to the publication, for the interrogation of the latter.
The case of exceeding official powers due to the demolition of the Saltykova mansion was initiated in mid-August after the appeals of the townspeople in the UK. According to activists, work was carried out illegally. In KGIOP, it was said that permits was issued in the spring of 2022, and "the above constructive and engineering solutions did not affect the protection of the mansion." Another criminal case was instituted due to an attack on the city defender Oleg Mukhin, who took off the demolition of this house.
In addition, two more criminal cases were instituted on the excess of official powers: one due to the demolition of the Manege of the Finnish regiment, the Vasilyevsky wine city, the hulls of trading baths of Ekimova and the attempt to demolish the house of Lapin, the second-due to the partial demolition of the house of Shagin.
