Hackers hacked the popular password manager LastPass - they hacked the account of one of the developers

The popular password manager LastPass has been leaked. Hackers stole the source code and closed technical information of the service.

The company said that two weeks ago, attackers gained access to one of the developers' accounts. Programmers are now establishing the details of the hack, and a leading cybersecurity and forensics firm has been brought in to investigate. At the same time, LastPass assured that there were no password leaks, since hackers could not access customer data or the password database.

LastPass is used by over 33 million people. Also among the clients of the service there are 100 thousand companies.
