The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the death of Senior Warrant Officer Dmitry Cheremiskin, who served on the cruiser Moskva. The widow of the deceased, Nadezhda Merzlyakova, reported this to the We Can Explain edition. According to her, she received the death certificate on August 11. Previously, the senior midshipman was considered missing.
Cheremiskin is the fifth confirmed death. Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Defense recognized four more people dead:

The flagship of the Black Sea Fleet, the cruiser Moskva, sank on April 14, this happened on the way between Sevastopol and Snake Island. According to Ukrainian sources, the ship was sunk by the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, the Russian Defense Ministry claims that the cruiser sank after the detonation of ammunition due to a fire on board.
