The Armed Forces of Ukraine struck at the Makeevskaya penal colony, the authorities of the self-proclaimed DPR reported. As a result of the shelling, three convicts were injured, one died.
On July 29, on the territory of the so-called DPR, in the colony in Yelenovka, an explosion occurred. The Russian Defense Ministry claims that the Ukrainian army fired at the barracks from the HIMARS MLRS. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in turn, accused Russia of a deliberate strike on the pre-trial detention center. At least 50 prisoners of war from the Azov regiment were killed.
