“All the children who enroll in school were promised to give out 10 thousand rubles in the first half of September,” says Irina G., a resident of the Kherson region. - It’s worthwhile to sell the homeland inexpensively ... I will not lead my children, but I will not condemn those who go to the “Russian” schools. Consider, 2-3 children in the family are a “gift from Putin” for 20-30 thousand rubles, I can already buy for this handout. We are all without work for six months. Those who have reserves still resist. Well, what pride is the hungry?

On August 26, Oleg Nikolenko, the speaker of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine, wrote on his Twizer page: “Having faced resistance, Russia threatens parents in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions to send children to orphanages if they do not write them down to schools captured by Russians. Moscow uses education as a pressure tool. We urge UNESCO to urgently respond to this crime. ” The tweet of the official caused serious disputes in Ukrainian publics, and in the occupied territories - even a panic.
At the same time, the Kherson Regional State Administration appeared : “In the Kherson region, the invaders promise parents who agreed to give their children to captured schools, to pay 10 thousand rubles. There are cases when parents are threatened with fines, confiscation of property and deprivation of parental rights for refusing to give their children to study under Russian programs. ”
- Do you think we will be taken away from us? -worries Daria S., a resident of Kherson and the mother of a 9-year-old son. - And how will they take it? Do raids home, who is not at school? How do they find out that he did not leave?
“They will not take away children from us,” Irina G., a resident of the naked pier of the Kherson region and the mother of boys 11 and 13 years old, are sure. - While I am a citizen of Ukraine and their [Russian] passport, I live according to the laws of my country. And Russia is in our area for a while, you should not strain sons. When someone begins to prove to me that I am not right, and the children should study in any case, I always answer that it’s not scary if they are late for their studies for a year, but they will begin to work later in life.
Both mothers admit that they saw the information only in social networks and city publics, they received no messages or written notifications.

In response to statements by representatives of the Ukrainian authorities, the so -called “Head of the Department of Education and Science” Tatyana Kuzmich spoke : “Nothing like this is planned and will not! Any sane person sees it. Schools are prepared by the beginning of the new school year. More and more teachers come to us, more and more parents trust us. Therefore, only one thing can be said here - all together, uniting, we will repulse this negative information. ”
- Only those who have not left and they simply have nowhere to go to school. I do not observe hot desire to study in the Russian program,
- said Natalia V., a resident of a naked pier. - Of the four schools in the city, two will work. They will also go here from the nearest villages, they don’t plan to open a rural school, for example, in a large cardachin. They said that in all working schools the armed military will constantly be, will ensure the safety of the educational process. Well, where is it good? We are all in stress. Do they want the children to finally break the psyche? Plus in Russia, it turns out that parents cannot be visited by parents. We are used to moving freely when and where we want. I could always calmly come to school and talk with the teacher. And now it will be necessary to leave the child at the gate of the school yard. Take it the same - from the gate. What will happen inside, we do not know. Those who categorically do not agree to send a child to a Russified school today are trying to leave in all possible ways. The prospects for our children are very sad.
Vera S., the mother of 12-year-old Olga, a student of the Golopostan gymnasium (earlier-school No. 2), does not agree with Natalia. She happily recorded her daughter in a “Russian” school. She especially appreciated the financial care of the Russian authorities about schoolchildren in the territory occupied by the army.

“Almost all teachers remained at our school, out of 110 people left,” says Vera. - Olga now has 35 people in the classroom. I thought it would go less. I hope that the schools remaining in the city will also be opened later, because ours is crowded. Yesterday they brought new textbooks - they still smell like printing paint. On September 1, they must give them out. All children are promised to distribute tea and a bun for free daily. This is at first, while the dining room is shared. Then they promise hot free meals for all classes, even senior, as in Russia ( in Russia there is free meals in schools only in elementary school, and then - for preferential categories of citizens, all other children pay for food. - Approx. Aut. ).
According to Vera, she is looking forward to the money-the husband is unemployed, and for a month Ukraine delayed the salary, and the “Putin” will help to feed the family for some time.
Until September 15, each student promises to pay 10 thousand if parents applied for admission to school until September 1. 4 thousand each month will pay benefits for each child under 18 years of age,
Regardless of the financial situation of the family ( in Russia there are no such manuals for schoolchildren. - Approx. Auth. ).
Faith with barely restrained pride suggests that first -graders may be presented with satchels with clerical sets. Indeed, in several city communities of the occupied territory of the Kherson region, local authorities said that first -graders were waiting for gifts. So, in the "administration" of the Skadovsky district, they reported that the first hundred school sets for first -graders went to the village of Mikhailovka. In the sets, school backpacks, penalties, notebooks, ruler, albums for drawing, colored paper and pencils with handles, sharpeners, paper glue and much more.

“When the military began to walk around teachers and offer cooperation, I immediately retired,” says Evgenia Ivanovna S., a high school teacher of one of the Kherson schools. - Fortunately, age allows me for a long time. No, of course, I did not say a word about my pro -Ukrainian position. Why should I bring trouble? I just replied that I have health problems, I physically cannot work. And what salary is offered, I even refused to listen - I won’t go to the invaders for any money, I will wait for the release of Kherson. And the money that they distributed to the pensioners also did not take - I do not want to get sore. I still have pasta and some cereals, so I will suffer before our arrival.
Daria S., a resident of Kherson and the mother of 9-year-old Sasha, complains that all of August her child suffers from loneliness, constantly says that she wants to see his class, see the guys. Because of the war, the family practically does not leave home, only for food. Friends of his son, almost everyone was able to leave for the territory controlled by Ukraine.
“We tried three times, stood at Vasilyevka [road to Zaporozhye] in line for 2-3 days and returned to Kherson,” says Dasha. -Due to the characteristics of the child’s health, we cannot be outside the house for a long time.
According to Dasha, they wanted to send the child to one of the Kherson gymnasiums, brought his son to show, and he refused to go there.
“There the facade was painted in a stupid pink color, and on the sides the building remained in the same form-painted in peach color, and the paint has already peeled out in some places,” Daria shrugs his hands. -Apparently, they prepare the perspective for shooting news on September 1, such as they all put and repaired-not a school, but some kind of photo zone.
Dasha and glad that his son refused this school, because there was a military unit nearby. There may be "arrivals".
“We had almost an hour next to the house yesterday,” Daria continues. While she says, against the background, loud explosions are constantly heard. - It turned out that the battle was between the invaders and partisans. The latter, unfortunately, lost: some were killed in this battle, some were captured. That's where I should take my child in such an environment tomorrow? Yes, and I am not seriously in these Russian games in education. The issue of safety is in the first place for me. What can I contrast an armed person if children, for example, begin to load on buses? What can forbid Russian soldiers to put buses with children in a column with military equipment?
At the school where her son Sasha used to study, there are no teachers - they left in full composition. Those who remained in Kherson are offered to choose a form of training: remote, external or family education.
The distance is complicated by the fact that electricity and communication are constantly disappeared in the city. Externate is possible only for graduation children.
A younger -grade child cannot study according to this system. And family education completely falls on the shoulders of parents in these conditions. Daria and her husband have not yet decided on how to proceed. Today they are more concerned about daily “arrivals” of missiles nearby, that at any moment their house can be destroyed.
“My daughter goes to eighth grade this year, I with great difficulty convinced her to go to a Russian school, Lena categorically against the Russians,” said Lidia Mikhailovna, Kherson doctor. “But she needs society.” They and their quarantine have so dumbfounded. What can be distance learning in high school, when it comes to accurate sciences?

The so-called "Minister of Education" of the Kherson region Mikhail Rodikov announced the opening of 91 schools, 62 preschool institutions, 10 out-of-school institutions, 17 secondary professional institutions, 4 higher educational institutions and the Kherson Academy of Continuing Education by the 1st of the region.
Yaroslav Yanushevich, the speaker of the Kherson ova (regional military administration), said that in the field of military operations, buildings of 101 educational institutions were damaged. According to the Minister of Education of Ukraine, until February 24, 2022 in Ukraine there were 4.2 million schoolchildren. Today in Europe there are 641 thousand Ukrainian schoolchildren, another 200 thousand in temporarily occupied territories.
