In Naberezhnye Chelny, teacher and former chairman of the Alliance of Teachers trade union Raushan Valiullin was fired from the school where he taught history. This was reported by the publication “Idel.Realii”.
Valiullin was given an order to terminate the employment contract, work and health records. The teacher connects his dismissal with his protest activity and criticism of officials.
“Today I am fired from school again. This time, according to clause 7 of Art. 77 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation in connection with my disagreement with changes in working conditions. The director reduced my responsibilities to a minimum and handed me a completely rewritten employment contract for signature. I refused to sign,” Valiullin wrote on Facebook.
“Today’s events are another episode in the endless stream of violations of my labor rights by the new director over the past few years: the management of the school museum was taken away, a serious workload was deprived, and additional education hours were cancelled. They even cut off the pennies that were due for running the office. I intend to prove my case in court, be reinstated at work, and receive compensation for forced absence and moral damage. Perhaps after this - on the day of reinstatement at work - I will write a letter of resignation of my own free will, because my conscience does not allow me to work in school today with its “talking about important things”, militarization, and lining up children in the shape of the letter Z,” the teacher concluded in conversation with Idel.Realii.
In June 2020, they already tried to fire Valiullin from the school, but he managed to be reinstated at work through the court.
